Town notes Freedom Food Pantry usage and seeks regional planning representative

The same committee member also told the board that the Leech Region Planning Commission is seeking a town representative to serve as a contact liaison for Effingham; the planning board received the same notice. The board asked residents interested in representing the town to volunteer and noted they have not had a representative for several years.
The board did not take formal action to appoint anyone at the meeting; staff said notices had also been sent to the planning board and they would accept volunteers for consideration.
