Union City Borough held a public hearing Sept. 16, 2024, at First Global Methodist Church to present and receive comment on a proposed amendment to Zoning Ordinance #1118. Councilor Cross called the hearing to order at 6:05 p.m. and Solicitor Tim Wachter and Constituent Services Representative Kim Tuszynski were listed as officials present.
The amendment described for attendees would add definitions and regulation of permitted-use zones for "redemption games," otherwise known in the record as games of skill, add a new Section 701.04 to permit use of accessory structures on adjoining lots, and include a repealer, severability clause and an effective date. The ordinance under consideration was identified in the notice as Zoning Ordinance #1118.
The borough opened the floor for visitor comments; no visitors were present and no public comments were recorded. After the public-comment period, Councilor Steadman moved that the hearing be adjourned; Councilor Osborn seconded the motion, and the hearing was adjourned at 6:09 p.m.
