Pilot Grove approves minutes, financials and two building permits

At its Sept. 8 meeting the Pilot Grove Board of Aldermen approved prior meeting minutes and August financial reports, accepted two building permits for modular homes and a shop, and noted the city clerks new Notary Public commission.
The Pilot Grove Board of Aldermen approved routine business at its Sept. 8, 2025 meeting, including acceptance of the Aug. 11 minutes and the citys financial reports for August. The actions passed unanimously, each by 4-0 votes.
The council approved a building permit for Clay and Stephanie Hammond for a 30-by-30 shop and a modular home at 410 Teller finished with block skirting. The permit passed on a motion by Donna Bader, seconded by Bob Kraus, with a 4-0 vote. The board also approved a permit for David Lorenz for a modular home at 210 West 3rd Street with block skirting (motion by Donna Bader, seconded by Kathy Waller; vote 4-0).
City Clerk Lori Vollrath reported she received her Notary Public commission; the minutes note notary services are free for city residents and $3 for non-residents. The Police Report for August 2025 was presented and accepted by the board (motion by Bradley Vollmer, seconded by Bob Kraus; vote 4-0).
The board recorded that the finalized 2024-25 audit has been sent to the Missouri State Auditor. The meeting adjourned after routine business; the next regular meeting is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 6, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.
