South Hill council certifies closed-session handling of personnel matter

The motion carried unanimously, and Mayor Mike Moody announced publicly that the council had entered Closed Session.
After the closed-session discussion, Councilor Lillie Feggins-Boone moved and Councilor Delores Luster seconded that the council adjourn the Closed Session and reconvene in Open Session. The council reconvened in Open Session, and Councilor Michael Smith moved — with a second from Councilor Ashley Hardee — that the minutes reflect no formal action was taken in Closed Session and that the council adopt a Resolution Certifying the Closed Session under the Virginia Freedom of Information Act.
