Resident urges Grottoes planning commission to retain bylaws to improve transparency

Sullivan also cited the Code of Virginia requirement that local public bodies post approved minutes to their official website within seven working days, asking the commission to reflect that timeline in its bylaws so residents can see decisions promptly. She said returning and transferring code books and project records after a commissioner leaves should be formalized to avoid records being kept informally by outgoing members.
The commission did not take immediate action on the specific bylaw language during the public comment item; later in the agenda the commission voted to approve bylaws with staff‑recommended edits.
