Council certifies 2025 wastewater compliance report; superintendent says plant earned all A’s

The Common Council of the City of Monroe voted to certify the 2025 Compliance Maintenance Annual Report (CMAR) for the city’s wastewater treatment system and approved submittal to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
A staff presenter said the CMAR is required by the DNR and summarizes the city’s testing and permit compliance. Wastewater Superintendent Mike told the council that the plant’s operators earned A grades in all areas of the report: "we received all A's this year in all of the areas of the permit or the compliance maintenance and annual report." The presenter said no corrective actions are necessary to maintain permit compliance under WPDES permit WI0020362-08-0.
A council member thanked the superintendent and plant operators for their work. The motion to approve the report was seconded and carried on a roll call vote with all present voting Aye.
The council did not record requests for additional corrective action or follow-up reports; the report will be certified and submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources as required.
