Galesville finance committee reviews April reports, makes no recommendation to council

Committee Chair Jesse Swing called the City of Galesville Finance & Insurance Committee to order at 6:02 p.m. on May 6, 2025. Committee members R. Todd and J. Seely were present; the meeting record states that open meetings requirements had been met.
The committee approved the minutes from its April 8, 2025 meeting on a motion by committee member R. Todd, seconded by committee member J. Seely; the motion carried. The committee then conducted routine reviews of financial materials for April, including the overtime report, the treasurer's report compared to bank statements, payroll records and account check registers, and submitted journal entries.
Members also reviewed a budget comparison for the General, sewer and water funds and examined bills proposed for payment at the May council meeting. The transcript records these items as reviewed but does not record requests for amendments, identified discrepancies, or formal recommendations on individual bills.
