Peavler reported the sewer lagoon excavation is roughly 80% complete and that the department is advancing a GIS update to preserve historical utility data. He said the department plans to replace steel‑wrapped lines, is discussing increasing storage capacity at the High School lift station, and intends to issue an RFP to repair a 97,000‑gallon tank. Council members also discussed the possibility of upgrading to an automatic card reader system for septic and RV dump stations.
Peavler framed the initiatives as steps to enhance operational efficiency and reliability. The council did not take final procurement actions at the meeting beyond approving the process to issue an RFP for the tank repairs; staff will return with details and timelines as procurement advances.
