The Myersville Planning Commission elected Rob Kundrick as chair and Mari Beth Schmersahl as vice chair during its July 1, 2025 meeting after amending the agenda to add officer elections.
The agenda amendment was moved by Michelle Sweet, Planning Commissioner, and seconded by Mari Beth Schmersahl, Planning Commissioner; the motion carried 3-0 with one commissioner absent (J. Buemi). Following the amendment, Rob Kundrick nominated Mari Beth Schmersahl for vice chair; Schmersahl accepted and, with no other nominations, won the vice chair position (the minutes record "wins election for vice chair with 2 votes"). Schmersahl then nominated Rob Kundrick for chair; Kundrick accepted and won the chairperson position (the minutes record "wins election for chairperson with 2 votes").
The commission also approved the June 3, 2025 meeting minutes on a motion by Schmersahl, seconded by Sweet; the motion carried 3-0 with one absence (J. Buemi). Commissioner Rob Kundrick used the general comments period to welcome Michelle Sweet back to the Planning Commission.
