The Town of Myersville on June 10 adopted the Fiscal Year 2026 budget by a unanimous 5–0 vote. Mayor Mark Hinkle summarized Ordinance 2025-10 and Councilmember Wayne Creadick moved to adopt the FY26 budget; Robert Ziegler seconded the motion and it passed 5–0.
Town Treasurer Michelle Romas delivered the treasurer’s report, which was placed on file for public review. The council also received a water-and-sewer report submitted by Maryland Environmental Services (MES) assistant supervisor Bob Barnhart; Town Manager Kristin Aleshire highlighted upcoming Deerwoods construction and continued engineering work on the Ashley project.
Why it matters: adoption of the annual budget sets municipal spending priorities and enables planned capital and operating work for the coming year. A full copy of the adopted FY26 budget was noted as being on file for public review.
