New Windsor council reviews FY26 first-quarter finances; FY27 budget planning under way

Mayor Kevin Cornick called the Nov. 19, 2025 New Windsor Town Council work session to order at 7:00 p.m. The council approved the Oct. 20, 2025 minutes on a 4-0 vote before turning to financial updates.
The minutes record the FY26 first-quarter totals presented to the council: General Fund total revenue of $474,911 and General Fund total expenses of $286,383. Enterprise Fund totals were listed as $345,977 in revenue and $325,157 in expenses. The record does not identify who presented the figures nor any proposed changes to those accounts.
Council members also noted that the FY27 budget process is only beginning; no proposed appropriations, hearings or votes on the FY27 budget were recorded in the minutes. The session included routine administrative items and announcements but no formal action on the FY27 budget.
