Commissioners responded that they needed more information before committing the county to the higher-priced platform. Commissioner (speaker 3) moved to table the procurement for the broader cybersecurity package until Richard returns with additional details; the motion was seconded and approved.
Separately, the court approved enrollment in the TAC mandatory AI training for the 2026-27 cycle after a separate motion passed. Chair (speaker 4) urged elected officials and department heads to encourage staff to complete the course promptly, noting the August deadline for compliance.
The court took no final action to buy the commercial platform; staff will return with cost comparisons and implementation details for a future meeting.
