Bogue council approves agenda and minutes, hears finance report and schedules next meeting

The Bogue Town Council unanimously approved the March 17 meeting agenda (motion by Councilman John Dale, seconded by Councilman Mike Crose) and approved the Feb. 17 regular meeting minutes (motion by Councilman Albert Taylor, seconded by Councilman John Dale).
Mayor Robert O’Chat reported total cash funds of $707,148.88. Clerk Shawne Southard said property, motor vehicle and local sales taxes are paid through January and that the town received the final quarter of the 2024 utilities franchise payment. Southard also reported she had approved one permit (121 Honeys Way for an accessory building) and that the Bogue Day committee will meet Thursday the 20th.
Administrative announcements included the clerk’s notice she will be late April 7 and that the next council meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 14 (the regular date falls on Easter Monday). At 6:55 p.m. Councilman Mike Crose moved to adjourn; Councilwoman Allison Cannon seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
