Stanley council calls May 5 public hearing on 26.76-acre annexation petition

Council also set a public hearing on the annexation for the council's May 5 meeting at 6:00 PM (a scheduling change made to accommodate a council conflict on May 4); the call for a hearing was moved by Council Member Leigh Anna Helms and seconded by Council Member Marsha Miskelly and passed 5-0.
The minutes record that the petition was received Feb. 16, 2026, and that the property is contiguous to town limits.
