The Zoning Board of Adjustment on June 18 approved its May 21, 2026 draft minutes and adopted a procedural change to streamline agenda order.
During Regular Business the board reviewed the draft May 21 minutes, voted to approve them with a spelling correction (motion by Vice Chair Franz Haase; second by Loren Patten). The minutes record that all members present — Chair Herb Healy, Vice Chair Franz Haase, Loren Patten and Milosh Bukovcan — voted in favor.
Separately, the board moved to place approval of preliminary minutes at the top of the Regular Business section of future agendas to allow timelier approval. Vice Chair Franz Haase made the motion, Loren Patten seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. The board instructed the Secretary to provide members copies of draft minutes in advance of meetings to facilitate this change.
Members also discussed limiting the number of hearings scheduled per meeting for better time management. The board reached consensus that the Chair and Vice Chair should work with the Secretary to evaluate each case’s complexity, estimate hearing time, and weigh the statutory 45‑day window when deciding how many cases to allow at a meeting.
Election of officers was deferred to next month; Franz Haase, Loren Patten and Doug Summerton have terms expiring at the end of June, and Franz and Loren said they will seek reappointment. The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 p.m. on a motion by Franz Haase, seconded by Loren Patten. The next ZBA meeting is scheduled for July 16, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. at Stoddard Hall.
