Stoddard Planning Board keeps Bob Maden as chair, names Rex Rodanas vice chair

Chair Bob Maden called the Town of Stoddard Planning Board to order at 7 p.m. Tuesday and, during routine business, board members re-nominated him to continue as chair and selected Rex Rodanas as vice chair.
Rex Rodanas nominated Bob Maden for chair; Heather Logan seconded the nomination and the motion carried. Jason Kovarik nominated Rex Rodanas for vice chair; Steve Jacobs seconded and that motion also carried. Maden told the board this will be his final year serving on the Planning Board.
Earlier in the meeting, member Steve Jacobs moved to approve the minutes from the May 5, 2026 meeting; Jason Kovarik seconded and the motion carried. The board also approved spending $25 for a table at July’s Olde Home Days to distribute information on cyanobacteria, Weed Watchers and LakeSmart outreach; Jason Kovarik moved and Rex Rodanas seconded that motion.
The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn at 8:45 p.m.; Jason Kovarik moved to adjourn and Steve Jacobs seconded. The motions recorded at the June 2 meeting carried without a recorded roll-call tally in the minutes.
The Planning Board will reconvene on its next regularly scheduled meeting (first Tuesday of the month); items already scheduled for future meetings include a public hearing requests and Master Plan work.
