The Hobart City Redevelopment Authority voted to approve the final plat and an amended site plan for Racetrack Incorporated (petition 25‑38) after staff said prior comments had been addressed.
Ben Sumeet of Polar Engineering told the authority the firm had resolved staff comments related to dedications, easements and minor roadway improvements tied to INDOT project work. "We've been working closely with the city in the past couple of weeks to address all comments that staff had," Sumeet said; he asked the board for final plat approval.
Staff and planning commissioners noted the amended site plan includes roadway improvements such as a turn lane, added culverts and other adjustments necessitated by the INDOT commitments. A board member moved to grant final plat approval and accept the amended site plan; the motion passed by voice vote.
The decision allows the petitioner to proceed with the recorded final plat and follow the city permitting process for any construction or additional site‑plan requirements.
