Chief Schramm presented four bids to replace the department’s Ford Explorer squad and an estimate from Total Upfitters for equipment installation. The low vehicle bid had been from Ewald (Milwaukee area), but the board approved a 2025 Durango from Les Mack in Lancaster for $40,829 and authorized Total Upfitters to install equipment for $10,083.46, a combined total of $50,912.46. The motion (Seifert moved; E Johnson seconded) carried on a roll call vote with all members voting yes.
During the police report discussion, the board decided the new squad should be white and marked; Chief Schramm said he is exploring a wrap option for marking. The board also approved the Police Department report and authorized Chief Schramm to attend a one-day conference in Green Bay addressing public records requests.
