Muscoda approves $241,165 payment to Gerke Excavating for Industrial Park expansion

Administrator Cinda Johnson reviewed the pay application and Superintendent Wardell reported construction activity: the contractor planned to bore under Highway 133 that week and begin grading on Howard Street; part of Industrial Drive is already open to traffic. The village’s engineers reviewed the pay request and recommended payment. The board approved the motion (Anderson moved; Miller seconded) and the motion carried.
Separately, the board discussed a potential regional stormwater control project for the Industrial Park, with a proposed retention pond by the lagoon and multiple project phases with varying costs. The board decided to hold a special meeting with Engineer Nies to review the stormwater project and financing. No stormwater financing decision was made at the Aug. 6 meeting.
