Muscoda board approves $479,441 pay application, moves forward with $1.2 million stormwater plan for Industrial Park

The Muscoda Village Board on Sept. 10 approved a $479,441 pay application for work on the village’s Industrial Park and voted to proceed with Phase 1 of a regional stormwater control project estimated at $1,208,000.
Delta 3 Engineer Bart Nies told the board that construction of the Industrial Park expansion is progressing and that “the Gerke crew is good to work with.” The board approved pay application #6 for Gerke Excavating by motion (Anderson; second Imhoff).
The board also voted to submit a Clean Water Fund Program application to the Wisconsin DNR to cover the sanitary-sewer portion of the Industrial Park work. The board adopted two resolutions tied to the CWFP: Resolution #24-04 naming the Village President as the authorized representative and Resolution #24-05 approving reimbursement terms; both passed on roll-call votes with all members voting yes.
On a motion by Imhoff, seconded by Wiederholt, trustees voted to proceed with Phase 1 of a proposed regional stormwater control system. Nies said the design was updated after learning industry construction plans and that, with current information, reconstruction of Industrial Drive is not required now. He said developer agreements would be required with Meister Cheese and Fairfield Specialty Eggs if the project moves forward, and that construction would start in 2025 if approved.
The board recorded the Phase 1 cost estimate as $1,208,000 and noted the village considers that amount TIF #5 eligible. No changes to the village’s lagoon permit were reported in connection with these approvals.
The board’s actions advance utility, stormwater and sanitary infrastructure work tied to the Industrial Park expansion, with construction and financing steps to follow in 2025.
