Committee recommends $1.35 million in vouchers, accepts utilities and advances road and infrastructure contracts

At the April 1 Committee of the Whole meeting, the Finance and Public Works committees presented several budget and capital project items for recommendation to the Village Board.
Trustee Darlene Johnson moved approval of vouchers totaling $1,348,959.04, identifying major categories including utilities and a $263,151.26 settlement related to the fire department; the Committee approved the recommendation by voice vote.
Public Works presented several capital actions: a resolution (2026-624) to accept completed public sanitary sewer and water utilities for Chapman Farms Phase 3 was recommended for approval after staff reported all punch-list items were complete. The Committee also recommended awarding the Bayview Circle/Apollo Court rehabilitation project to Wolf Paving Company Inc.; the work includes road rebuilding, curb and gutter, ADA improvements and separate sewer/water items paid from utility funds.
The Committee recommended approval of change order No. 9 and final pay request to Moose and Brothers for the Daback (Donna) Drive infrastructure project in the amount of $2,202,320.10. Staff said the project is complete, with one minor outstanding warranty item, and that the project ultimately came in under budget.
All motions were seconded and approved by voice vote.
