Jonathan Gale, chairperson of the Region 5 consumer council, told the advisory board that Region 5 plans a town-hall Zoom meeting in early September — likely Sept. 7 or 8 depending on Labor Day scheduling — to brief consumers and partner organizations on commission activities and gather feedback. "We will be holding what we're basically referring to as our first town hall region wide Zoom meeting in early September," Jonathan said.
Jonathan said he will provide the final date and contact information in August so the event can be added to the MCB calendar and promoted. He suggested creating an audio channel through the Perkins Library and working with Gina Russo to post regular two-week updates about regional events and resources.
Jonathan also requested contact information for the chairs of the other five regions to coordinate outreach and said he would follow up after the commissioner returns. Blair asked whether Jonathan could add the town-hall meeting to the MCB calendar so interested parties can link to it; Jonathan agreed.
