Village of Nelson approves summer fuel prepay, treasurer's report; tables cemetery bylaws

The Village of Nelson met in regular session on Aug. 14, 2024, and approved several routine items while tabling two agenda matters for future consideration.

President Brian Glass called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and noted a roll call in which one member, Mike, was absent. Becca moved to approve the July minutes; Kevin seconded and the motion carried.

The board recorded there were no public comments. Officials noted that village yards are "looking better," according to the minutes, without a specific speaker listed.

On motions, Randy moved to approve a summer prepay for fuel for the village; Becca seconded and the motion carried. Becca later moved to approve the treasurer's report; Randy seconded and that motion also carried. The minutes record "motion carried" for both items but do not provide vote tallies.
