At its March 3 meeting the Town of Epping Water & Sewer Commission approved a $212.56 abatement for an erroneously billed property, voted to split a wastewater training cost with the Highway Department and discussed a request from Lamprey Village Drive for an emergency municipal water connection.
W&S Administrator Dennis Koch asked the commission to approve an abatement for 290 Calef Highway because "Water was off and they were billed in error." Chairman Scott Pim moved to approve the abatement for $212.56; Commissioner Adam Munguia seconded and the motion carried 2-0.
Koch also reported Lamprey Village Drive has requested to connect to municipal water as an emergency back‑up source; commissioners said they needed more information before taking action.
TA/Operator Jake Roger noted the Board of Selectmen is changing the uniform policy to add a yearly $250 stipend for boot purchases and suggested the Water & Sewer Department consider the same. Roger said a Highway employee has expressed interest in wastewater work and would like to take a $700 class (with a $50 test fee). Chairman Pim moved that the commission split the sewer class cost 50/50 with the Highway Department; Commissioner Munguia seconded and the motion carried 2-0.
