Osage County health department grant documents signed for $49,570 in state funding; CDBG signature list updated

Jackie Patterson, representing the county health department, told commissioners the department's annual state grants for fiscal year 07/01/2026–06/30/2027 total $49,570.
Patterson presented the signature page for three state grants and listed the amounts: immunization, $3,751; public health emergency preparedness, $16,856; and the state formula allocation, $28,963. Patterson cautioned that the amounts are set on a year-to-year basis and "may change slightly" because the signature and submission occur well ahead of the grant period.
Commissioner Les moved to authorize Harrison Smith to sign the department's grant signature page; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. The board asked staff to file the signed signature page after completion of the department's grant narratives and grant paperwork.
Separately, staff presented an updated Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) authorization form for the Sandler project that removed outdated names and listed Michelle Morris, Brandon Smith, Rebecca Holmberg and deputy clerk Kaylee as authorized signatories. The board approved the CDBG signature authorization by voice vote and authorized staff to use the county stamp as needed to process draw requests.
Commissioners and staff noted that final grant amounts may be adjusted before the grant period begins and that staff will handle any subsequent modifications in the grant paperwork.
