Commission approves transit software contract, director warns of lost GPS tablet features

"This plan will require me to use a free domain setup, and it also will require me to use a free Google Workspace. However, it is $6,000 to set it up," Frannie said, describing tradeoffs between price and features, specifically noting the new product did not currently offer GSM/tablet GPS tracking included in the incumbent system.
Commissioners moved to approve the Full Path Transit Technology contract "as presented" and to allow Frannie to sign the agreement on behalf of the county; the motion carried by voice vote. Commissioners also asked staff to participate in implementation discussions to preserve peripherals and GPS functionality where possible.
Frannie said she planned to begin a February trial and requested board support for any short‑term integration work needed to retain critical features for drivers and clients.
