Commission approves payment of $1,140 legal bill after Gold Dog LLC appeal withdrawn

The Sharon Planning & Zoning Commission agreed July 8 to pay a $1,140 bill from Byrne & Byrne LLC tied to the Gold Dog LLC appeal after the plaintiff applied to withdraw the appeal and the court approved the withdrawal.
Chairman Rand read a letter from Attorney Byrne noting the plaintiff’s withdrawal and the court’s approval. The commission received a bill from Byrne & Byrne LLC and Mr. MacMillan moved to pay it; Mr. Moskowitz seconded and the motion was carried with all in favor. The minutes note there may be one more bill forthcoming as a result of the appeal withdrawal. LUA Blass will check with Attorney Byrne to see if there is any recourse for the commission to be reimbursed by the plaintiff.
