LRTC earns A+ state assessment; board hears plans for new Marine Technology program

LRTC Principal Kathy Tetreault told the Governor Wentworth Regional School Board on June 2 that the Lakes Region Technical Center earned an A+ on the State Comprehensive Needs Assessment and that no areas for improvement were cited. The news drew applause from the audience.
Tetreault said the CBA-supported staffing and a mix of local and federal funding enabled mentorships and program growth. She introduced Student Services Coordinator Jennifer Ouellet, who reviewed the 14 programs offered by LRTC, described available industry credentials and college-level opportunities, and highlighted positive student feedback.
Tetreault also described the development of a new Marine Technology program that the center plans to add to its curriculum. "The district’s support allowed me to hire effective and experienced staff and enabled mentorships for my staff," she said.
