Governor Wentworth board appoints two members, accepts resignations and hires new teacher

Board members interviewed candidates for vacant seats: Kirsten Burke and Nancy Boyer for the Tuftonboro vacancy (Boyer withdrew) and Kayla Hewitt, Steve Johnson and Chip Skelley for the Wolfeboro vacancy. The board voted to appoint Kirsten Burke to the Tuftonboro seat (motion moved by Mr. Deshaies; vote recorded with Dr. Manning, Ms. Schillereff, Dr. Sheckler, Mr. Williams, Mr. Bickford and Mr. Deshaies voting yes) and to appoint Kayla Hewitt to the Wolfeboro seat (motion moved by Dr. Sheckler; vote recorded similarly in the minutes).
School District Clerk Michelle Capone administered the Oath of Office to Burke and Hewitt. Superintendent Caroline Arakelian read School Board Policy BCA — School Board Member Ethics; both new appointees signed the Ethics Agreement.
During a non-public session under RSA 91-A:3 II(b) to discuss personnel and legal matters, the board accepted resignations of Alicia Goff, Jordan Legere and Aidan Sisters and accepted retirements of Paul Landry and Bonnie Stinson. The board also accepted the Superintendent’s nomination of Sarah Pelletier as a 100% teacher for the 2025–2026 school year at Track 1/Step 1 with a salary of $47,543. The minutes record unanimous votes for the non-public motions.
