Governor Wentworth board reviews Carpenter School ceiling collapse, explores expendable-trust funding

Arakelian said the district is preparing for the possibility that repairs may exceed insurance coverage. "We are preparing the Board for the possibility of a Special Hearing to request the use of funds from the expendable trust for unanticipated repairs beyond insurance coverage," she said. Business Administrator Kathy O’Blenes told the board the expendable trust had a December 2024 balance of $187,930 and that the district expected a deposit of about $150,000 at the end of the school year.
