The Gilmanton Budget Committee recorded the following formal actions at its March 25 meeting:
• Approval of minutes: Motion to accept minutes from the Jan. 17, 2026 "Super Saturday" meeting was made by Selectmen Representative Brian Forst and seconded by Member Ron LeClerc; motion passed 7-0 (Member Graham Wilson absent).
• Appointment to vacant seat: Motion to nominate Walter Mitchell to fill the vacant Budget Committee seat was made by School Board Representative Laura Gerard and seconded by Sawyer Lake Village District Representative David Ferber; motion passed 4-3 (Member Graham Wilson absent). Mitchell was sworn in by Town Clerk/Tax Collector Elise Smith.
• Election of officers: Motion to nominate Anne Kirby for Chair was made by Member Ron LeClerc and seconded by School Board Representative Laura Gerard; motion passed 8-0 (Member Graham Wilson absent). Motion to nominate Ron LeClerc for Vice Chair was made by School Board Representative Laura Gerard and seconded by Member Walter Mitchell; motion passed 8-0 (Member Graham Wilson absent).
• Adjournment: Motion to adjourn was made by School Board Representative Laura Gerard and seconded by Member Walter Mitchell; motion passed 8-0. The meeting ended at 7:20 p.m.
