Nashua Community Media reported robust online viewership for recent high-school graduation ceremonies, while clarifying that the streaming-provider numbers do not capture Comcast linear audience data.
Dan Young of Nashua Community Media presented the numbers: the South graduation recorded 838 views from 409 unique viewers, and the North graduation recorded 1,212 views from 587 unique viewers. Young said the streaming audience included domestic and international viewers, citing entries from Puerto Rico, Colombia, Taiwan, India, France, Germany and other countries.
Pete Johnson emphasized the provider-based metrics exclude Comcast linear viewership, which Nashua Community Media does not receive data for: "Those are only numbers for streaming through our streaming provider. So it does not count anything in Comcast where we don't get any data from them." He thanked the crew for their work at both ceremonies.
Board members accepted the report and agreed staff would add a brief data summary during the second public comment period at future meetings when available. Director Cummings closed by noting the board is entering the FY27 budget process and warned that FY28 will be difficult, advising proactive planning.
