Oak Grove — At its April 20 meeting the Board of Aldermen recorded the following actions and outcomes:
• Consent agenda: Approved (minutes, expenditures through 04/13/2026, March 2026 financial statement). The clerk corrected a typographical date error (meeting minutes are 04/06/2026).
• Bill 26-10: Ordinance declaring official results of the April 7, 2026 election for mayor and one alderman per ward. Adopted; recorded as Ordinance No. 2163 following roll-call affirmative votes.
• Election of mayor pro tem: Pam Pope was elected mayor pro tem by unanimous voice vote.
• Reappointments and mayoral appointments: Pam Pope reappointed as board liaison to Planning & Zoning (approved); Kelly Naidoo appointed as board liaison to the Tree Board (approved); Herbert Jones appointed to the Park Board (approved).
• Bill 26-11: Ordinance granting a change in zoning classification for a parcel at 301 SW 15th Street (approx. 4.06 acres) from C-2 to R-1. Adopted; recorded as Ordinance No. 2164 following roll-call affirmative votes.
• Special event permit: Oak Grove Chamber of Commerce 'Parade of Hearts' block-party event on May 14, 6–8 p.m., approved; the Chamber president described planned activities and a short street closure.
All motions recorded at the meeting passed by either unanimous voice vote or unanimous roll-call affirmatives when the clerk called the roll. The board adjourned at the close of the agenda.
