Oak Grove aldermen approved two equipment lease agreements on April 6: a 60-month lease and maintenance agreement with GFI Digital for Ricoh copiers and a 63-month lease for a replacement postage machine.
Kim (city clerk) said the copier lease covers eight machines across city hall, police, parks, courts and the Davis Center, includes installation, training, ink, toner, staples and service calls, and would cost $589.18 per month; staff estimated an average savings of $111.86 per month compared with the current arrangement. The lease term was set at 60 months.
Kim also explained the city’s existing postage machine is being phased out and the replacement 'fusion' model requires a 63-month lease (slightly cheaper than 60 months) that includes service and training; the price discussed in the meeting was about $2.32 per month for the unit’s lease and service contract. The board approved motions to accept both recommendations.
