The Board of Aldermen voted unanimously April 6 to adopt a budget amendment that records revenues and expenditures related to the city’s mill-and-overlay agreement with Jackson County.
Matt explained the amendment adds $121,595 in miscellaneous income/street improvement fund and $41,394 in use tax revenue for a combined capital increase of $162,989 to cover the Robinson and White Road overlay project. He said use tax receipts have risen in the first quarter, enabling the city to account for the additional $41,394.
Council approved first and second reading by title only and adopted Bill 26-09 as Ordinance No. 2162 following a roll-call vote. The amendment aligns the city’s budget with the interlocal agreement and the proposed contract work.
