Francestown Select Board accepts donated batting cage, pending site walk and RFP update

George Ravalico told the board he had been approached by an anonymous donor who would provide the materials but that the town would need to arrange installation. Board members said the installation should coincide with the field renovation and recommended a site walk with the FIHS Board to identify the best location.
Select Board member Charles M. Pyle III moved to accept the batting-cage donation pending the site walk and adjustment to the ball-field RFP; Select Board member Scot D. Heath seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously (‘All in favor’).
The board instructed staff to coordinate the site walk with the FIHS Board and to update the ball-field renovation RFP to reflect the potential installation. No estimated installation cost or timeline was recorded in the minutes.
The board plans to revisit specific placement, installation responsibilities and any budget implications during a future meeting after the site walk and once the RFP is updated.
