Because of scheduling conflicts in January, staff recommended a special meeting/public hearing on Jan. 15; a commission member moved to accept the application for a public hearing at that special meeting and the motion passed by voice vote with no opposition recorded on the transcript.
Staff emphasized that a full set of revised plans will be circulated to commission members and that interagency comments have been incorporated into the resubmitted materials. The public hearing will allow the agency to gather testimony and consider any wetland- or drainage-related impacts in detail before acting on a permit application.
The agency did not take a final permit vote at this meeting; it scheduled the public hearing to continue the public record and accept further input before any decision.
