Nelson Select Board approves minutes, purchases and insurance renewal; enters sealed non-public session

At its Oct. 16 meeting the Nelson Select Board approved routine governance actions and a non-public personnel session. Selectman Mike Blaudschun moved and Chair Brenna Kucinski seconded approval of the public and non-public minutes from Oct. 9 (motion recorded as carried 2-0, with Don Carlisle listed as absent for that vote). The board then approved the Oct. 16 manifest (motion carried 3-0).

The board approved a Police Department purchase request for a winter uniform coat, $454.00 (motion by Blaudschun, second by Kucinski; carried 3-0), and a Town Clerk request to replace an outdated “#2” computer for $1,580.00 (motion by Blaudschun, second by Kucinski; carried 3-0). The board also approved the Health Trust insurance renewal package for 2025–2026 (motion carried 3-0); the minutes do not state the renewal premium or fiscal impact.

At 3:55 p.m. the board voted to go into non-public session under RSA 91-A:3 II(a) and (c) for personnel matters and potential harm to reputation; Brenna Kucinski moved and Mike Blaudschun seconded.
