Beaufort County and the town of Port Royal held a ribbon‑cutting this month at Bruce Edgley Park for a newly opened splash pad, BCTV reported. Nicole Wood, identified in the bulletin as Deputy Beaufort County Administrator, thanked attendees on behalf of the county and said the park will bring "joy and energy" to families in the area.
"On behalf of Beaufort County, I wanna thank all of you for being here as we celebrate the opening of this wonderful new amenity," Nicole Wood said, adding that the project reflects what can be achieved when local governments work together. In the sound bite she described the splash pad as a collaborative investment that will better serve residents.
