Hilton Head, Bluffton and Beaufort County School Board set local meetings tonight

The Hilton Head Town Council will meet at 3:00 p.m. in the Hilton Head Island Council Chambers at 1 Town Center Court. Agenda items include consideration of a sponsorship agreement for Hilton Head Island JAM 2026 Songwriter Festival, an amendment to an existing agreement with BRE Retail Residual Circle Center Owner LLC, and an ordinance related to a sign easement on town‑owned property.
Chloe G also said the council will consider a resolution to dissolve the Northpointe Public‑Private Partnership Housing Authority Committee and a resolution to create the Bryant Road Public‑Private Partnership Housing Advisory Committee. Unfinished business includes a second reading of an ordinance terminating a parking and access easement related to 72 Pope Avenue. The council will hold executive sessions on attorney–client privilege tied to a legal claim involving the Hilton Head Motor Coach Owners Association, on litigation representation, and to discuss proposed purchase and sale agreements in the Marshland Road, Simmons Road and Sea Pine Circle areas.
The Beaufort County School Board will meet at 5:00 p.m. in the District Educational Services Center at 2900 Mink Point Road in Beaufort; agenda packets are available online and the meeting will be streamed on the county's YouTube channel, as Chloe G noted. Also at 5:00 p.m., the Bluffton Town Council will convene in the Henry E. McCracken Jr. Council Chambers at 20 Bridge Street. Its agenda includes a final reading of a municipal code amendment on stormwater design standards and a first reading of an amendment related to relocation and demolition of non‑contributing resources in Old Town Bluffton. The council will proceed to executive session on negotiations, property usage in the Ghost Road right‑of‑way, and proposed land acquisition within the Buckwalter PUD.
