Nelson Select Board approves routine minutes, manifests and appointments; schedules joint zoning meeting

The Nelson Select Board handled routine administrative business on Aug. 21, 2024, including several unanimous votes and scheduling a joint hearing on proposed zoning amendments.
Minutes and finances: The board voted 3-0 to approve the Aug. 7, 2024 meeting minutes and to approve the manifests for Aug. 14 and Aug. 21, 2024.
Permits and appointments: The board voted 3-0 to approve a building permit for T. Murray and L. Cates to add solar panels to an existing array. Brenna Kucinski moved and the board voted to recommend that the State of New Hampshire reappoint Gary Robinson as Nelson’s Deputy Health Officer.
Zoning: The Select Board agreed to a joint meeting with the Planning and Zoning Boards on Sept. 17 at 7:00 PM at Town Hall to discuss proposed amendments to zoning ordinance articles 11, 12 and 14; Edie Drinkwater will notify members.
Monument and training recognition: The board accepted a $325 bid from Keene Monument to clean the Civil War monument in the town center and congratulated Joseph Filipi on completing the Fire Officer Training Program.
