The Friends of the Library submitted a list of maintenance concerns to the Select Board on July 24, asking that the Sexton and the Highway Department address weeding, fence strengthening, adjustment to an entry door for improved operation, potential removal of a hazardous tree and improvements to handicap ramp access.
Selectman Michael Blaudschun also reported on Planning Board work and complaints about road maintenance tied to the new grader, asking that the Planning Board coordinate with Southwestern New Hampshire Planning Commission (SWRPC) before sending articles to the town for a vote.
Police Chief Filipi provided a regular update to the board. Items noted included development of a parking ordinance with appropriate ticketing language, a proposed logo change for new police uniform patches, and approval of an order for uniform shirts. No formal ordinance was adopted at the meeting; the Police Chief's remarks were presented as an update.
