Meyers said the department has received several applicants for summer pool and concession-stand positions and will hold interviews on March 18 and 19. He also reported that remaining bicentennial coins were sold at $82 each, raising $5,576 for the Sesquicentennial Kitchen fund projects.
Meyers announced the annual Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for April 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the egg hunt beginning at 10 a.m.; staff expect about 40 vendors and seven food trucks. He added that summer ball registration is underway, with forms due by the end of the month, and the department will partner with neighboring towns for some of the youngest divisions because of low participation numbers.
The board did not take formal action on these program updates during the meeting; items were presented as informational and operational planning.
