Selectboard reviews DPW plan to lease two trucks; Meeting House maintenance timing discussed
Summary
DPW Director Jim Morris proposed leasing a new F‑350 to replace a troubled 2020 F‑350 and an F‑150 so staff do not use personal vehicles; payments would be covered by trade‑in and deferred balance. The board also discussed Meeting House hydroseeding and painting schedule.

DPW Director Jim Morris told the Selectboard he seeks to lease two vehicles for the department: a new F‑350 to replace the 2020 F‑350 because of repair issues, and an F‑150 to provide adequate vehicles for the DPW crew and to stop using his personal vehicle for town business.
Morris said the vehicles would be acquired through leases. He told the Board the 2026 lease payments would be covered by trading in the 2020 F‑350 and that any remaining balance would be addressed next year. The minutes do not record the total lease cost, monthly payments, or the trade‑in value.
Selectman George Rainier asked for updates on the Meeting House. Morris said hydroseeding may have to wait until fall and that painting should begin soon or be postponed until after the Fourth of July if scheduling requires it.
The Board did not take a formal vote on the vehicle leases during the recorded minutes; they discussed financing mechanics and scheduling for facility maintenance.
