The Palmyra Parks & Recreation Board approved the fiscal year 2026–27 parks budget and voted to submit it to the Palmyra City Council for final approval.
Board member Chris Fountain moved to approve the budget; board member Marcia Fohey seconded the motion. The board recorded a roll-call vote with the present members listed as voting aye and no nays were recorded.
The approval means the parks department’s budget will proceed to the City Council for its review and final sign-off. Park Director Doug Meyers presented the budget to the board during the meeting; board discussion did not include recorded amendments to the proposal.
The board has previously forwarded budgets for City Council approval as part of the city’s normal fiscal process. The next step is the City Council’s review and formal adoption or modification.
