Palmyra parks board hears trail grant timeline and pool project update; City Council approved Heimer Construction bid

Park Director Doug Meyers updated the Palmyra Parks & Recreation Board on unfinished business at the Feb. 23 meeting.
Meyers said bids for the Mo. Trail Grant are due Feb. 28 at noon, with a public bid opening scheduled for 1 p.m. at City Hall. He urged attention to the submission deadline as the procurement timeline proceeds.
On the Community Pool Grant, Meyers said there were no new updates at the time of the meeting. He also reported that the City Council approved a $71,353.00 bid from Heimer Construction; Meyers said Heimer has been contacted and paperwork has begun to schedule the project.
Meyers briefly noted the Daddy Daughter Dance was successful and that summer ball registration forms will be distributed this week and made available online. The board took no formal votes on the grants or the pool project during the meeting.
