On Oct. 20 the Board of Aldermen took first reading by title and approved Bill 2025‑19 to extend final plat approval for Meadowbrook Lakes East, covering 44 residential lots on about 20.25 acres west of 250 South Main Street.
City staff explained the request responds to three conditions attached to the original approval; the board and staff focused discussion on removing the requirement to obtain and record a particular right of way for the moment while conditions 1 and 2 remain in effect. After brief questions from aldermen, the board moved to accept first reading by title and approved the reading on a roll call vote. The roll call recorded affirmative responses from Earhart, Gallagher, Grunwald, Jarrett, Pullen and Wells.
Next steps: The bill will return for later readings as required by ordinance.
Vote: First reading approved by roll call (Ayes recorded for the six aldermen present).
