Board approves probation contracts, meal and training requests, and overtime cap increase

Hamilton County probation leadership presented several routine administrative requests at the July 13 meeting that the board approved, including a contract with Cordone (drug-testing services) reviewed by legal, two meal reimbursements (one not-to-exceed $600 for a drug court organizational meeting and another not-to-exceed $2,000 for a 75-person staff development day funded from probation user fees), and a request to temporarily increase the overtime cap to $10,000 to cover roughly five on-call drug court staff. The probation representative said the overtime request is typical when staff approach caps and that the department remains within its budgeted monies.
The board also approved a last-minute $900 purchase order for Tableau cloud software presented on behalf of probation and instructed staff on appropriate DocuSign routing and signature. Each item was moved, seconded and approved without further amendment.
