Grow and Gather Gardening Guild launches; extension secures grants for children’s gardening programs

The community development director also reported on local outreach and advertising plans tied to community events, including proposed advertisements in a regional '101 things to do' insert ($295 plus $40 for color, $335 total) and a possible full‑page graduation book ad (approx. $350). The director confirmed the advertising line items are in the current budget and noted citywide cleanup will run May 11–16 with curbside pickup on May 16; a citywide rummage event was proposed for May 8–9.
