At the meeting's end, a board member moved and another seconded a recommendation that city council approve purchase of a bunker rake (KGT model) at state-contract pricing (about $28,236). The board agreed to forward the request to council for final approval. "If you guys recommend the council action, that'll go to council next week," the mayor said.
Clerk conducted a roll-call vote and five members recorded "Yes" (Ron Reeser; Pamela Buffington; Roy Jackson; Chris Graves; Keith Shelby). The motion passed and will be included in the council packet next week. No amendments were offered during the board vote.
The board did not vote on a mower in the same motion; the vote was limited to the bunker rake. The mayor said the recommended purchase aligns with previously discussed capital items for course maintenance and will be funded from the golf-course capital account.
